Another crazy thing of mine, this is how I could call what I show you today. Anytime I cook something new, my brother asked me: Nico, what you put today in the plate, is what you dreamed about last night?
Joke or not, almost all my ideas of recipes came out from what I dream about. Whether I remember some recipe that we saw a while ago and I want to reproduce it, whether I ask my mom and she gives me good ideas, whether I search for recipe on Pinterest /Google/ Instagram, and the last option is that one with my dreams. Often I dream a recipe and the next day I cook it.
What I show you today is too much to say,, recipe “. It’s more like a game, which proved to be very good. I felt like in kindergarten doing these chocolate kiwi pops covered in false chocolate as when I painted or working with clay. Why FALSE CHOCOLATE? Because it is made of karob powder, ingredient which, to my shame, I only recently discovered and started to use it.
1 tablespoon of Karob powder
3 tablespoons of coconut oil (melted coconut butter)
Topping: coconut flakes, nuts or chopped walnuts
Peel the kiwi, then partitioned them into 3 pieces, thick enough (as in the first picture). In a bowl add the carob powder, coconut oil and mix until a smooth paste came out. This should be the fake chocolate.
Now it’s time to play. If you have children or siblings, you can involve them too.
First sting the skewers in kiwi, then put the kiwi halfway into the chocolate (if you want you can cover all the kiwi in chocolate). Sprinkle the kiwi on top with the topping of your choice, then put them on a plate and leave in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes to harden the chocolate.
It’s an interesting combination of tastes: sour, crisp (if you choose peanuts or walnuts as toppings) and sweet but not too sweet. It’s a balance of tastes. Just how I like it.
They are perfect to satisfy your need for something good between meals.
C’mon, let’s play in the kitchen!
