I don’t know how many of you are familiar with surimi sticks or how many of you have eaten surimi so far, but if you love seafood, then you should also like surimi. The name of this ingredient comes from Japanese, which means „minced meat”, thus suggesting its composition. Surimi somehow imitates the taste of crab meat, but it’s made of poor fish meat (fish cod or Alaska Pollok).

There are many articles on the internet that „blame” this ingredient, of which they say it’s not quite right to eat it because it is made from fish meat scraps + other additives that help it have the final shape. I don’t think it won’t affect you with anything if you eat it from time to time, for example, I eat it 2-3 times a year, so there is nothing to worry about. If you want to make recipes with surimi, I advise you to carefully read the label, see the percentage of fish meat from which it is made, and also the rest of the ingredients.
