Come with me in this culinary journey and let’s enjoy a bit of Greece taste!
I could not choose another recipe for this culinary journey than the famous and delicious Tzatziki sauce.
Tzatziki sauce is a specific Greek recipe based on yogurt, that can make a difference in any meat preparation that needs a cool sauce. It works wonderfully with baked/grilled vegetables, with salads, sandwiches or can even be eaten simple, with some crackers.
For this sauce you need to use a quality yogurt, such as the 2% Greek yogurt from Olympus . It is an excellent source of protein (8 grams of protein / 100 grams of yogurt), it is creamy and can be eaten simple, with cereals, fruits or in various recipes.
Here’s how you can make this creamy and very tasty sauce!

INGREDIENTS
400 gr. 2% Greek Yogurt
2 small cucumbers or 1 large cucumber
2 cloves of garlic (or to taste)
1 tablespoon chopped dill
1 tablespoon of olive oil
2-3 tablespoons of lemon juice
Salt & pepper (to taste)

PREPARATION
Wash the cucumbers, then grate them. Put them in a strainer and sprinkle a little salt. In this way the juice will come out much quicker. Leave them in the strainer for 15-20 minutes until the water is all drained. I preferred to squeeze them a little in my hand to get all the water out of them.
Put the Greek yogurt in a larger bowl, together with the cucumbers, chopped/grated garlic, chopped dill, half of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt and pepper. Mix well to combine.
Sprinkle some dill and put a teaspoon of olive oil over the tzatziki sauce. That’s all!
Yummy! Yummy!
P.S. This is not a sponsored post by Olympus. I have won a package of yogurts and other products from them in a contest that they organized on Facebook. Those who follow my posts on my personal accountFacebook know this very well and the fact that I like to participate in different Facebook contest.
P.P.S. I encourage you to participate in their contests, but also in other contests organized by brands you trust and you are fan of.
